Frequently asked questions
We've gathered the most common questions here.
How quickly do you arrive in an emergency?
Since we work within Lakeview and Roscoe Village, the distance is short. For urgent matters like a burst pipe or an overflowing drain, call us — we'll tell you where we currently are and give you a clear time.
Is the site visit charged?
We don't charge separately for coming to look, understanding the problem, and explaining what needs to be done. Leak detection done with a camera and listening device is a job in its own right, though; we tell you that price before setting up the equipment.
Is the price set in advance?
Yes. We don't quote a figure over the phone without seeing the plumbing, because the same complaint can turn out to be very different jobs. After inspecting on site, we tell you what needs to be done and the amount; we don't start work without your approval.
Do you guarantee the work you do?
We stand behind our work. If a drain we cleared clogs again, or a leak returns from a spot we repaired, let us know and we'll come take a look. A fault arising from another point in the plumbing that we didn't touch is treated as a separate job.
Shut off the water, then call us
If there's an active leak, close the main valve first so the damage doesn't grow. Then call us; tell us what happened, give the address, and we'll take it from there. We can come the same day to addresses in Lakeview and Roscoe Village.
