What we do
Work at our shop falls under two headings: maintenance that's due and faults that come up. The same team handles both in the same workshop. The items below are the jobs we do most often.
Periodic maintenance
For vehicles due by mileage or time, we take care of oil, filters and general checks. We look at what needs changing according to the vehicle's maintenance interval.
Engine repair
If there's a noise, loss of power, or an oil or water leak, we first find the cause. We also take on internal engine work when needed.
Brake system
If the brake pedal has gotten deeper, or there's noise or vibration when braking, we check the pads, discs and hydraulic line. Brakes are the job most often put off but also the most critical.
AC service
If the AC isn't cooling, we check whether there's a gas leak or the compressor is at fault. If there's a bad smell, cleaning the filter and radiator comes into play.
Make-independent work
We're not an authorized dealer service for a specific make, so we work on whatever car you bring, regardless of make. Domestic, imported, petrol, diesel — it doesn't matter.
Fault diagnosis
If it's not clear what's wrong with the vehicle, we check it first. Once we see what needs to be done, we explain it to you and get your approval.
Wilson Auto Service
We're a car repair shop in East Nashville doing periodic maintenance and mechanical repair. We work independently of any make; since we're not tied to a specific brand, we take care of every vehicle that comes in. We make a point of explaining what will be done before we start, and not replacing parts unnecessarily. When we hand your car back, we go over exactly what was changed.
