Frequently asked questions
These are the questions we hear most before enrollment. If you have something else in mind, feel free to ask.
What's the lesson schedule and duration like?
The program is determined by the student's starting level, so there isn't one calendar for everyone. We also review progress at regular intervals throughout the course; if a topic hasn't settled in, we return to it. We work out the days and hours that suit you together during the enrollment meeting.
Group or private, and how big is a class?
We offer both. In group classes, class size doesn't exceed eight; we keep it deliberately limited, because every student needs enough time for speaking and writing practice during the lesson. If you want a more flexible schedule or want to focus on a single topic, a private lesson may suit you better.
Is there a trial lesson or level assessment?
Level assessment is a standard part of enrollment. We do a written section and a short speaking part, which determines which class you'll join. If you'd like to see the classroom environment as well, we can talk about that too.
Is payment upfront, and do you offer installments?
We work out the payment method together based on the program you choose. It can be upfront or in installments. During the enrollment meeting we clearly note the total amount and payment schedule from the start; there are no items added later.
Do you make up missed lessons?
Since the class has only eight people, who missed which lesson doesn't get lost. We go over what you missed with your teacher and cover it, adjusting the program if needed. If you return after a long break, we reassess your level.
